I have an eight year old daughter that had brain surgery for a Chiari Malformation 3 yrs ago. It did help the symptoms she had.But now all the symptoms are back but are somewhat different and more persistent.(Severe headaches, fatigue, neck pain, shocking pain going down her arm, depressed stays in her room all the time, pain in head is worse when she coughs, the list just goes on. I was wondering if a Chiari malformation comes back? We took her to see her neurosurgeon and he did a quick neuro check and said she was fine. She's not fine, she's missing alot of school and is on narcotics for pain. This is not normal for my eight year old child. I'm frustrated and upset that there is nothing I can do for her to help the pain or even explain to her why her doctor will not help. Any info will help me greatly. Thank you.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
