Upper inner arm pain

For the past couple of weeks after doing dips in the gym I started experiencing pain in my upper inner arm - high in my arm almost in my armpit. The pain is so excruciating I can't do the exercise. I get numbness and a tingling sensation but not so bad that I can't grip. It is slight numbness and tingling but it stays for hours after trying the exercise.

I had an upper back injury years ago which resulted in pain radiating across my right scapula and upper back. For the most part the pain has subsided and only flares up once in a while.

I am not sure if they are related.

Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.
