okay so im 21,Years now I experience severe numbness in my genitals ( both anus and penis).I urinate quite frequently ,i can't hold it for long ,the urge to pee is sudden and strong , I experience numbness, in addition i have problem defecating, i can't feel the muscles to push the stool out making it really hard to poop, Few days ago I put a lot of strain on my brain (to the point of going all red and getting many red spots on my face)trying to do so and since then i have this feeling of numbness at the top of my skull, could i have caused some brain damage or nerve damage ? what is the reason behind all this and how do i treat it?

  • Nominally, assure you have no intestinal blockage. If you attempt using a bowel cleanser, be sure to use a stool softener (or good old fashioned teaspoonful of mineral oil stirred in your morning orange juice, etc) or use extra oil+vinegar on your next garden salad. Possibly you've eaten foods with 'solidifiers' in them. For instance some brands of peanut butter include them to prevent ingredienrs from separating on the store shelves and looking less appealing. Buy items that do not list 'solidifiers to enhance appearance'. Eat your veggies. They are nature's scrubbers that keep your bowels clean. If you suspect a blockage or obstruction, see your doctor asap. Be sure that if you get an rx to make your bowels eliminate, that it is, again, a stool softener. The pkg may not say it is merely an intestinal irritant that forces expulsion. In that case you may cause more pain. Be sure your clothes don't constrict your daily mobility.

  • 1. Do not push when you are trying to defecate, you are putting yourself at a major risk for Hemorrhoids which you do NOT want on top of these issues. The constipation (trouble defecating) is often caused by alcohol, caffeine and stress. Reduce these and you should notice a difference. If you have some internal hemorrhoids, which could block the passage way and make it more difficult, drink grapefruit juice to shrink them and reduce pain. Sorry I can't help on any of the other stuff.

  • I am so sorry to hear about what you are dealing with. I too have very similar ailments, however I haven't experienced the brain pain. I was diagnosed with neurogenic bladder, I had to straight cath myself several times a day. After a year and a half,& methotrexate I was able to urinate on my on. We truly take our health for granted.

  • Start out taking a fiber laxative like Equate or Walgreen's orange fiber start 2 X day, if not enough go to 3 X a day. You can take 4 X day. Stop straining. It causes hemmoroids and Bp to go up. If you have to strain, trying straining your lower muscles. You really need to see a Dr if you haven't already! Have your anus and penis checked for blockage! It sounds like some kind of pressure on them. Get checked for STD's while you are at it!
