Tingling and numbness are basically around whole body, although moreso in the back of head, face and mouth now, after being more all around over two months ago when this started. Sometimes tingling in legs will become extreme when walking.

Extremities seem to "fall asleep" (different than the above numbness) often. A couple of months ago my foot (I believe left one only) several times fell asleep with a distinct centralized "ball" of heaviness/pain for lack of a better description. Had never felt anything like that in extremities falling asleep earlier in my life.

Muscles have little, visible twitches at times, in no particular area (mainly legs, arms, hands and face).

Occasional heartburn-type feeling (has actually been happening for about two years).

Some trembling and inability to make fine movements with hands, although I have never been the most dextrous so it's hard to tell if this is new.

Difficulty balancing at times, but not extremely.

Slight muscle soreness/weakness, especially in hands/fingers. Occasionally on face.

Dark/smelly urine (possibly from infection or directly from whatever is causing everything else). Seemed to have small amounts of uncontrollable urination but not as of late.

Some sudden, inadvertent movements, especially of legs/feet.

General fatigue/tiredness.

I know this is very vague. I went to the ER two months ago and they said it could be pretty much anything from an infection to MS. They didn't do any tests. I'm a 24 year old male.

  • Ok I just rested and had a full meal. Some how these symptoms are linked to the lower left abdomen pain we are having, I had it in my lower left back just like you QandA for a day or two (walked with limp) but has since disappeared. Well I took the B12 vitamin promoting circulation, and took a nap for about 5 hours. Woke up and had a full meal, and for the second time in weeks my left hip abdomen area just started having sharp pains. and while trying to grip the mouse and put a cup up to my mouth to drink started feeling the numbness almost motor neuron function damage. not an intense attack but subtle symptoms. clearly if I were to stimulate my body with any type of marijuana joint this would most certainty end in another nervous attack. What the ***l is going on here? Mind is clear and calm body is acting up. Also QandA another of the symptoms I would bet you are having but forgot to mention is hearing? Im willing to bet you have some slight ringing in your ears when trying to lay in bed, yes?Possibly liver damage? Excretion of ammonia into the bloodstream, would that cause the central nervous system to be acting up? See this is not a psychological 'anxiety' problem. Its chemical for sure.

  • alright well after eating some more its surely not abdomen problems internally. It's definitely coming from the brain (central nervous) and spread out through the nerve endings (hands, arms, legs) I have started to take Centrum one a day multivitamins just to make sure I get my immune system fully boosted and exercise + stretch daily. It is helping. My symptoms only come at night after a fatigue (grabbing a glass, trying to put it up to my mouth) Its just an awkward nerve feeling. Skeletal, muscular, nerve degeneration of some sort.Or it can be brought on by marijuana intake, even of the slightest degree. Now I've been smoking since a teen and to finally have to put it down for sake of nerve damage is a step in the right direction. But i must say I am stumped as to how in the world can the most harmless plant drug (besides smoke tar buildup, etc) cause my nerves to react in such a way after years of good times and considering the health my body is compared to smokers of more long term usage than me and not as healthy as me.I must say I am now jealous of them but surely it must be chemical reactions in the marijuana already stimulating an ever slow developing disease that we all must have or a chemical imbalance of some sort.So the vitamins and no more smoke I have been good with no "attacks" even if I stay up late at night. But the moment I take one toke of a joint. Just 1. As soon as I stand up I get frequent headrushes and to the point where it gets fuzzy and ringing in my ears progress blacking out slowly. And you guys hear this and laugh and say 1 tiny puff and your gonna pass out and faint. Well I dont know what to say I was a champion smoker in my day and could keep up with the best of them. Now due to some chemical imbalance or circulation disorder I can not even 1 puff. samkmw, we must talk. We are going through the same exact symptoms and reaction to a marijuana joint.

  • Hmmm. I was having suspicion of the marijuana being tampered although I have been getting the same stuff from the same guy for over 4 years now and it wasn't until 08 the symptoms took form AFTER I took Isotretinoin (accutane) for my acne and a possible spider bite so my suspicion of LYME disease is still there. To any average person like my doctor that has never been around marijuana in his life will assume it was laced with something although he thinks its the chemical reaction with my "anxiety disorder". But for me to really get to know this particular type of mid grade marijuana and to use it habitually and other types it really isn't suspicious other than the normal strong odor and 1 to 2 hour low grade high. Although I have noticed runny noses just from the odor not being lit and also sometimes when brought into contact with my skin I will get temporary irritation rash. So my suspicion is definitely there. What is your knowledge of LYE and how it is used to increase potency of mid grade marijuana. I have heard of people sraying Raid (roach killer). I am looking up the info and specs on this hydroxide substance LYE and not sure how it can make you feel the same as a marijuana high.We would have to see if QandA was involved with marijuana as well. not just myself and 'samkmw'.I have of course discontinued any smoking and of course I am not getting any more weird nerve attacks although I am still feeling symptoms from time to time. My left hands still clamps up and turns purple when there is to much blood flow, i have to hold it above my head, I can even see the tiny hairline veins in my fingertips and is not a pleasant feeling. Other than that my vision is poor. My childhood floaters are now more visible and I have been seeing flashes of lights and phantom images from the corners which I have read online to be a serious problem. Also the slight ringing in my ears are still there day to day. Although during the day it is filtered out. Please, KissandDontell give me more information on LYE.So far my suspicions or self-diagnoses could be one of the following: Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme disease, Tuberculosis (positive test during childhood, never followed through with chest X ray), Heart/Circulation disorder, and of course my "esteemed" family doctor "anxiety disorder". Trust me this crap is not in my mind. It is chemical.

  • Ok, I have been doing research on Lye and clearly this hydroxide substance is not what you are referring to. You are using the slang for weed calling it 'Lye' and saying that they sprayed it. Well do you have any suggestions what they sprayed on it? I go straight into the heart of the ghetto to get my stuff for the unbeatable prices and have been going for years to the same guy. I have heard rumors of Raid being sprayed but come on I would definitely smell that. This stuff smells straight like bud...???

  • i have the exact same symptoms it could also be vitamin c deficiencybecause the difference with vitamin b is that... If the body notices that not enough calcium is circulating in the blood, it will use hormones to reduce the amount put out by the kidneys in the urine. If not enough calcium is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, calcium will be taken from the bones.unfortunately doctors did not know what i had they thought at a stage i had some bloody std lol cause of the scurvy on my face . i had no circulation through my hands feet(they were so cold) dry and cracking muscles so sore , i could not even drive . pins in needles through my head epically on the back on my face neck then through out my body had urinating ,very concentrated ,trouble concentrating... so weak and now at the age of 23 i have osteo

  • I went to a rave about 10 days ago where I took 3 ecstasy pills and had drank a bit before I took them. I enjoyed the experience whilst I was up however I had quite a bad comedown- started having hot/cold flushes and my head was pounding. I decided to stay in a cool environment outside, however I had found it very difficult to urinate since i dropped that night and had to literally force myself to take two very small urinations. I drank about 5 500ml bottles of water throughout the night to stop myself from dehydrating however because I wasn't urinating I didnt drink more due to hearing of the adverse consequences that can happen if you do drink too much on ecstasy and you cant urinate. Anyway, the bad comedown with the hot and cold flushes and the throbbing head lasted for a few hours where I became anxious and paranoid and eventually abled to calm myself down and eventually was able to urinate- passing fluid about 8-10 times in about 2 hours which is a lot. I managed to eventually get to sleep a few hours after this. However, ever since the day after this I have experienced a weird feeling on the top left hand side of my head. It is weird to describe as it doesnt hurt, but sometimes feels tingly and sometimes I can feel a pulse in it and is more prevelant when I am standing up or walking as opposed to sitting down. I was wondering if this is common after an experience on ecstasy and if so how long does it last for and can it be cured? Many thanksJ

    8 Surprising Facts About Cholesterol

Did you know that one in six US adults has high cholesterol?

  • I was thinking the same thing. Once he started writing about, having little visible muscles twitches, and "black floaters" in his eyesight, I was extatic. It's not just me! I'm having more trouble sleeping now. My asthma and allergy attacks have doubled. I spent most of 2006 in the emergency room because regular inhalers wouldn't work. Which was strange to me at the time because I haven't had an asthma attack since I was a 5yrs old.The muscle pain (tingling/weakness/spasms) have increased in frequency and intensity, along with the fatigue and headaches. The pain isn't debilitating, just strong enough to make you not want to do anything. New symptoms for me include heartburn, infrequent momments of imbalance, nausea, moments of foggy confusion accompanied by a strange pressure sensation in my noggin (not painful).Like you I have had many test and all come back normal or negative. But they have shot the it could be "Fibromyalgia" dianosis around. Nice to know that I'm not just some crazy hypochondriac. From MeP.S. I thought this might helphttp://www.erinelster.com/CaseStudies.aspx?ConditionID=18To Q&A and anyone else:I was actually relieved to read your first post because I'm having 99% of the same issues. I just turned 25 and have had a lot of diagnosis in the past 5 years. Most doctors I see think I'm a hypochondriac, however, they have found a reason for everything. Bipolar 2, Narcolepsy, Fibromyalgia, Kidney stones, Unknown reasons for Fainting, etc. In the past I have gotten nauseous, passed out, and hit my head 3 times a couple years apart. Once I actually woke up with vomit a foot above my head on the floor. This would wake me from sleep.MS would make sense. However, I have had so many blood tests and MRIs done so many times checking for everything. My tests are always negative. However, all of the numbness and types of vague symptoms you have- I have as well. I'm not having anxiety because I have gotten used to my history :) . This has all lasted for 1 1/2 months. I'm giving eastern medicine a try just for the heck of it. Can you tell me if you learn of anything?

  • You should ask a neurologist to check you for a rare disorder called Myatonia Congenita or Para Myatonia Congenita. Most Dr's never heard of it but my husband and several of his siblings and nieces and nephews have forms of it. Your symptoms are some of the symptoms he has. You really should declare them to check you for this and be sure your Dr. sends you to a Neurologist who has heard of this disorder as well. They are rare. I hope this is helpful.Tingling and numbness are basically around whole body, although moreso in the back of head, face and mouth now, after being more all around over two months ago when this started. • To original poster: I am having the exact same symptoms as you. My mother sent me this link and said that i could identify with it and i definitely can. I was diagnosed with Generalized anxiety disorder in december when i showed up in Emergency following a panic/anxiety attack and sporadic heart palpitations. I've been seeing a psychologist since then and i'm starting to doubt that i have an anxiety disorder. It just doesn't fit with me- I was under no stress when the panic attack occured, nor have a been through any type of traumatic event my whole life. I'm talking to this psychologist about insignificant and (in my mind) irrelevant problems in my life. I've been getting new symptoms and my anxiety has not decreased, i've just become use to it.Lately I've been feeling very weak. Not tired, just weak... like a have no muscle mass. Although i have sleep disturbances, I am sleeping. I eat a lot of nutritious food and I was exercising when the onset of these symtoms occured, but I've stopped because I have no energy. Sometimes I'll get tingling sensations in my arms and legs. I definitely have a circulation problem because My extremities are constantly falling asleep and going completely numb when i put the slightest amount of pressure on them for 2 minutes. Also the other night i went outside and it was -15, and after not even a minute i was shaking uncontrollably and it felt like i was getting hypothermia or something. Before this all started, I'd be fine in -30. I have this constant "weird" feeling all the time. Even my head feels weird, I don't know how to explain it but it feels like i have to shake it all the time (maybe it's not getting enough blood?) I constantly feel on edge and like I'm about to faint. Lately i've been zoning out a lot and the other day i was at the mall and looking around at all the people, my thinking got all screwed and i felt as if my surroundings weren't real. It was really scary. Also I've been burping a lot. I ALWAYS have to burp and it feels like theres so much gas in my chest and stomach. In december i got all my blood work done... pretty much everything came back normal (blood count, thyroid, arthritis, etc) The only thing was that i had low iron and i was put on supplements which i took for a few weeks. I also got an ECG (heart ultrasound) and that was normal as well. Occasionally i'll get funny feelings around my heart... like little pinches. I just don't know what to do anymore!! I'm going to beg my doctor to get me and MRI. But the thing is, a lot of these symptoms can be explained by anxiety. But why didn't I have them two months ago when my anxiety was really bad? I know there's something wrong with me- I can feel it. If i thought there was an actual trigger for my anxiety or that me and my psychologist were making progress with my anxiety- i'd stop worrying. But my anxiety isn't getting better, i'm just getting used to it and that has nothing to do with the psychologist. I feel like i'm dying... maybe it's the anxiety who knows. I just want to live my life!!! I want things to go back to how they used to be!

  • I have been experiencing similar problems, first it was tingles in the legs and left arm, then last night I started having a patch of numbness on my left cheek. I am 28 female, pretty healthy and have no clue whats going on, I have omitted my diet pop and acpertain for a couple days. My brother has MS and dad diabetes but doc doesn't feel it's either, I have no pain just this weird feeling of tiny tinngles, nothing actually goes numb and the patch on my face I still have feeling, it just feels funny. I go to a neurologist in a week to do a EMG, and just had bloodwork done, I guess we will see if anything comes up? I do want to get that book that someone posted on here about the food we eat and it leading up to these problems.

  • Hi guys, i too at least for almost a year now have been experiencing tingling/pricking/slight numbness/ sensation in my fingers mostly and at times in my arms, toes (specially when im driving )and legs. I have trouble sleeping in my sides most specially on my right, coz the pressure/tightness seems to worsen.. so this past months i sleep on my back/flat, man i already miss sleeping on my sides..the pin *****s sometimes are experienced in my face, lips or even scalp.. spasm in my thoracic spine is also sometimes present, specially when i sit for 1-3hrs, and just recently i also feel this cold like running water sensation in my arms, shoulders and legs. at first i suspected carpal tunnel or pinched nerve i've seen a chiro(3months therapy) and a neurologist (2 wks rehab) done an mri (cervical, lumbar), emg, blood work.. neuro told me everything is fine except for the mild carpal tunnel on my left. I still have the symptoms and it is really painful at times not to mention that i have not been able to do the things a used to do a year ago. (use the pc keyboard and mouse with ease, play the piano, sit at the computer for 1-2hrs at least or even wash the dishes with out experiencing ugly *****s in my hands) I'm really at lost, they kept telling me im fine but i know im not.. I used to be active and i just turned 29 a few wks ago.would i qualify for a MS? please shed some light in my case.thanks

  • I have experienced the same for over a year now. Have had 3 MRIs done and had lesions on brain but they said it was non-specific but to might be the start of MS. Went to have an EMG & nerve conduction study done just over a week ago. No nerve damage in legs/feet, but I do have damage in my arms/hands (Carpal Tunnel -- worst in left than right). He said that he did not think that I had MS...so that is good. I had blood work done recently, will have the results of everything on April 22 when I go back to my doc.I am tired of everything I would like to have a diagnosis of something...I am not crazy, I am feeling all of these things and it only seems to be getting worse...especially the numbness feeling in my head and left side of face. I also have a numb feeling in my right ear and just recently have noticed ringing in the ears occasionally. Headaches that I have been getting do not seem to be helped by Motrin. Not even sleeping seems to help. I just want to get a diagnosis...so I may start treating my symptoms the way that they should be treated.I don't do drugs or drink & I am 43 years old, most of the posts here seem to come from younger people. So whatever this is, age does not seem to be a factor. If anyone has any other input it would be greatly appreciated. In need of a diagnosis.

  • Guys, it's nice to know I'm not alone.I'm 42yr old male, wife thinks I'm nuts because she went to the Neuro Consultant with me. Had MRI and he wants me to see a clinical Psychologist. I don't see why, but I'm open to offers. I have tingling arms/legs/fingers/feet/fibrilations in the head that I think is also moving to upper chest. I had examinations for acid reflux in Jan 09 and I swear it's all linked. Upper muscle in left leg gives intermittant mobility issues and occasionally I need the toilet quite quickly. Eyes ache using PC's, sleep pattern shot to bits, and I feel it's getting worse.MRI, bloods, urine all clear and not sure what to do next. I worry about the long term.Appreciate any thoughts anyone has to help.Life has never been better, and I find stress a had one to accept in this case.

  • Hi There,I am new to this, I am 36 years old and 6 months ago I get numbness in my upper leg but it went away a month later, and then in both feet, I went to the doctor and she give me some muscle relaxers which didn't work and a couple weeks later my whole right arm became numb and tingling, I went back and she sent me to get an mri, when I went in for the results, she said I had MS, and sent me to a Neurology, he is saying it;s not MS, but inflamation and put me on steriods, that helped, but I still don't have 100% of feeling in my right arm/hand.. I just moved here a year ago and this is a small town and I won't get the care that I would if I was back at home, if anyone has an input, please, please let me know. Thanks
