I woke up this morning and my thumb, first, middle, and ring fingers were all tingling, along with the palm of my hand. They have been tingling all day, and the sensation is more intense when i stretch my arm back and/or up slightly. Does anyone have any idea of what this might be?

  • This sounds like irritation of the median nerve. The most common cause of median nerve irritation is carpal tunnel syndrome, which refers to the nerve being pinched at the wrist. Other things can irritate that nerve, too. It could just be you slept on your hand in a funny way; if that's the case, it should get better quickly. If it's not better, see your doctor for evaluation.
