My boyfriend is 46 and has a history of seizure like episodes. The way he described the episodes when he was younger sounds like absence seizures ( loss of awareness, eyes glazed or unfocused, some drooling) but he was never diagnosed with any seizure disorder.
In the last year he has had 7 heart attacks. Since then, he still has these episodes but they seem to have changed some since then. During the episodes I have witnessed, He becomes unresponsive, he drools a little, his entire body become rigid and sometimes one or both of his legs twitch a little.
He has told me that sometime after these episodes he has some trouble seeing, particularly in his left eye. He also told me that the left side of his face felt a little funny, kinda like after you get a Novocaine shot and it's just finished wearing off but your face still feels funny. He also said that he was having trouble moving the toes of his left foot.
He can still stand, move both arms and legs, control all his facial muscles, and speak in complete coherent sentences.
I just wondering if this could be his (undiagnosed) seizure disorder becoming more severe or if his recent heart attack make it more likely a TIA or if they are completely unrelated?
