I have had very bad back pain for the last 2 months....and about a week ago it subsided. and now ive noticed my left arm feels "hot" and tender, basically as if my arm was sunburned....I heard that it could be a nerve?
My dr. told me it may be shingles, but theres no redness, swelling, rash,or bumps.....so Im highly doubting that...Could it in fact me a nerve? How can i treat it? and how long does that normally last?

How can i treat it? and how long does that normally last?I have fybromyagia and the feeling of having a sunburn under the skin is common..essentially it is a nerve that is irritated.whatever caused your back pain is most likely causing the burn...i can sometimes stop the burn by releasing a tensed up muscle in my back neck or shoulder..all of the nerves in our bodies are connected to the central nerve in our spine and they exit it through spaces between our vertabrae... if our spine is out of alignment they can be pinched or irritated..tight knotts of muscle along the spine can also put pressure on the nerves...anyways..treat your back..heat,chiropracty,massage etc and you will treat the burn
