Strange pressure in head: help diagnose?

For about the past month/month and a half, I've a had a strange pressure in my head. It's constant, every day, and just appeared suddenly.

It seems heavily influenced by whether I think about it. When I wake up, I don't feel it. When I think about it, it gets more intense.

Areas of pressure: temples, "center of my head", behind and under the teeth, corner of my eyes, middle of the nose, etc. around that area. it's constantly shifting. It can build to pretty intense proportions, even feeling like my head is in a vice, but moving my head around helps, and not focusing on it also helps.

It's interfering with my meditation practice a bit, since I end up focusing on it a lot while meditating.

The final strange thing is that if I touch my head, it goes away. If I put both hands on my face, the pressure stops in the area around the hands.

What is le going on here? Ibuprofen doesn't do anything, nor vicodin.

  • Have you seen a neurologist? If so, what did the MRI results show?
