I have had this severe head ache and high fever (103-104) for the past 5 days. Went to the ER yesterday, spinal tap, CT scan, urine, CBC is all normal. the Doc gave me vicodin which is not helping. I haven't slept for the last five days because the pain is soo intense. And the fever doesn't come below 102!What should I do??? What could this be?? I am 50 yrs old.

  • My boss was just released from the hospital. She (is 60) has contracted the same symptom. it was only after 9 days, she was admitted to the hospital, where she stayed for another week. The doctors finally diagnosed that she has contracted Marine Typhus, a disease transmitted through fleas. Apparently, it's a season thing. She is discharged now...after dosages of very strong antibiotics. So, go check with a doctor, if that is the case. Good luck.
