Right leg numbness

I have a numbness in a small portion of my right leg. This occurred after a scrape, the magnitude of which was unknown to me at the time. I was wondering what the best course of action is, as this spot sometimes aches when I am sitting down.

I have read about the medical conditions related to this, and they seem to have little in common with my situation.

Can anyone help?
