I have peripheral neuropathy and would like to know if I can take a Shingles (Zostavax) injection. I do not take flu vaccines because I have been told not to and it is believed that I got my present condition (originally diagnosed as CIDP) from either the NJ Flu Vaccine or the pneumonia vaccine which I received on the same day. If anyone can advise, that would be great!

  • I too have peripheral neuropathy that came on 3 hours after a flu shot. I have been told never to get another flu shot. My doctor has offered to give the shingles injection but I refused. Have you found anything new about getting vaccinations?

  • I also have peripheral neuropathy, just diagnosed. I am trying to determine if my having had a Shingles shot approximately a year ago may have contributed to my pain in my feet. I do have Spinal Stenosis + arthritis and curvature of the spine. I do not have sciatica
