Need help, memory

I have no clue what is wrong with me.

One of the things is when I write things down (sometime even when I type) I skip the first letter and start the word with the 2nd and then place the first letter a couple letters in. For example omtorrow (tomorrow) and I do it with my name all the time and I wonder if it is something I can fix or what it even is.

Second, my memory seems to be getting horrible, (im only 23) and used to have great memory and now I cant remember much. If someone told me something to do, i forget it within mins literally. It scares me.

Third, I can be in the middle of talking and more and more forget what I was talking about in the middle of it without even being interupted. I basically blank out and get all confused. (i actually typed that word ocnfused like I was talking about earlier)

I also cant come up with what I want to say more and more now a days. Example, I told my boyfriend I just took his socks out of the oven... I meant the dryer. I do that with everything now. I say something close to what i want to say but it makes no sense.

I am only 23 and none of this should be something I do. I don't do drugs or drink excessively. I havent had a head trauma as far as I know. Any suggestions???

  • sounds like similar symtems to me though ive had big/little problems with my brain which sayes to me go get proper advice from aneurologist. theres no ways i could posibly say what going on upstairs other than i had and still have similar effects.what it sounds like is your short term memory is failing to do as it should which is quite serious if it keeps getting worse (or are you just becoming aware)?. By the way i like to party too and have not noticed any long term impacts and even my neuro man says they aint of much danger.ive been to neuro psychologists neuro sergeons neuro psychiatrists neuro practioners and more. A highly effective way to pretty much get away without a short term memory is to train your brain to you long term intead of short term by delaying everything you do and in effect using your long term memory to remember stuff...... LLLOOOOONNNGGGG PROOOOCESSSSyour pretty much restructuring your brainI have other methods but that one from what i know of your detail sounds about right. but requires dedication.DO you have acces to professional advice? where are you based?I felt so singled out til i started checking the web for cases. NZ is so small I have many document and articles about memory/learning/living/sleeping - how is your sleep? VERY IMPORTANT!!!! in sleeping/rem is when your brain is re-organising all the input its had. so sleep is important. Drugs do effect memory but trust me on this one they aint done much to me. with the slight exception of some crazy chemicals but the main one on the market arent gonna detroy your brain like an egg in the pan. I'm 30 and about to go back to uni Get Back to me and ill send you some documents and articles - fairly comprehendable all hand to me by one of the leaders of neuro psycology of my country (New Zealnd)dont get panicy get prepared.I'm no medical professional but its amazing what you pick up over 25 years of being subject to the medical profession
