My 15 yr old daughter had two seizures last Sept. At the time she had absolutely NO medical issue. The first one they called a seizure, because she woke up in the middle of the night and did some pretty weird things. The next morning she didnt remember doing any of it and had memory lose. Later that same day, she called me from school complaining of a really bad headache. I picked her up from school and took her to urgent care. They checked her neurological functions and they were normal. Sent us home with Motrin. She felt better later that night. She did homework and everything. The next morning, I found her unresponsive and making gurgling sounds. I couldnt wake her up at all. Paramedics arrived and she went into a full grand mal seizure. They had to intubate her at the hospital because the seizures wouldnt stop. They gave her all kind of meds and ran every test there was(scan, mri, spinal tap, blood eeg,ekg etc). Everything came back neg. She woke up about 24 hrs later. The Dr's couldnt tell me anything. We went home after a 5 day stay. They didnt send us home with seizure meds. No explanation whatsoever. She has never had a head injury. No history of seizures on either family side.
