My symptoms - what is it?

Ok, I've been having some weird stuff going on now for a couple of months. First was the itching. The Dr said I have hives from an allergy - although he didn't actually see it because I didn't have it when I went to see him (just my luck). Anyways, nothing seems to help the itching. The other weird thing is, now I have what feels like electric zaps in different places like my legs, arms, hands and feet.
The itching is usually upper arms, back of thighs and my butt area. Somethimes around my waste too and sometimes my feet. I have a problem with my sciatic nerve which causes my legs to ache too but now I have the electric shock feeling going on.
I don't know what kind of Dr to go to. My med Dr said allergist, my Chiropractic says I need tests to rule out neuritis and vascuar. I am thinking the itching and zapping feeling is from my nerves but I don't know. Also, when I exercise on my exercise bike, my legs will itch. When I first get up in the mornings is when I itch the most, like when I start moving around. One other thing is when anything presses against my skin, like a purse or a bag on my arm, it gets red and itches for a short time. I took my blood pressure the other day and the cuff made my arm itch.
I'm sorry this is so long but I need some answers. Does this sound like nerve problem or circulation problem? Is there any natural things I can do? I don't like taking meds, I have a problem with bad side effects. And I'm tired of going to the Dr and not getting any answers. Thankyou for listening.

  • I have itching too that leads to big welts when I scratch. Usually around my waist. I'm not sure if this will help but try taking Fish Oil. It hasn't helped my itching but maybe yours is as simple a fix as that. Also - don't use dryer sheets, perfumed lotions, and change to a detergent without added dyes, perfumes etc for your clothes. Good luck!
