We rushed him into the ER a week ago because he had what was believed to be a feberile seizure caused by fever. We had them do a cat scan because we were concerned about the seizure (just in case it wasn't a common feberile seizure)and because my husband had an AVM that caused a stroke at 20yrs old. His AVM was the size of a large egg & it was on the left side of his brain. His brain surgeon said that it had grown from birth. My son's CT results came back saying that he had a benign brain cyst on the left side of his brain. In the morning he is having an MRI done to give us more definitive answers. I don't even know what that means. Definitive answers to what? From what I've gathered from different websites, is that some are watched & some are removed depending on size & location. Could that be more vague? What location is better or worse than the next? Could it be an AVM? Would an AVM look like a benign cyst on CT? Can anyone tell me anything about this cyst & what my baby's chances are for having to have surgery?please?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
