Last year my family moved to a new apartment. Two months after we moved in my mom said she was hearing really weird things, she said that the neighboor was always watching us and he knew everything we did. Then it got worse, she said that actually it wasnt just my neighboor but a little boy that talked with her, telling her that his mom told him to do bad things, that we should move out soon. She kept on hearing all this noises and put her really anxious, one time we were forced to spent the night in an hotel because she said that something extremly bad was going to happen. Instead of going straight to the hotel we decided to take her to the Hospital but she refused, the next day they did a lot of tests, she was hospitalized during 2 weeks taking tests almost every day. They found out she had encephalitis but didnt know the reason. Of the dozen tests they did, one turn out positive, a virus called Cytomegalovirus, its a kind of herpes and they thought that she probably had it in the brain so they gave her meds. She seem fine for 2 or 3 months but all came back. Now she is always weak, like sleepy but ver anxious, in the night se cant sleep well and we think she might still hear things but not very current. She had low potassium but they normalize, the fist day she didnt show aas tired as always, but the day after she was tired again. Doctors says the brain is still a little swollen, she didnt received a lot of terapy the first time she was realesed from the hospital and she was very confused all the time. I dont know if its psycological or just the encephalitits or both. Please someone help me, its very exhausting not finding out. Tomorrow she is having a thyroid test.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
