Hi, I posted a week or so ago but have had only one reply wich was very helpful. My symptoms are arm & leg burning and tingling, . Dizziness wich at times will make me go off balance. I also have floaters in my left eye all the time but I heard that that comes with age. I am a 42 yr old female. I had a brain mri done without contrast that showed 4-5 unspecified lesions in the white subcortical matter (i dont know what that means). My dr set me up with an appointment with a neuroligist this Thursday & i am worried about ms. My doctor said he doesnt think its ms because they did not write anything on my mri but I have an aunt with ms and she said that she had the same symptoms. I am very anxious about the neuro app. does anyone have any advice on questions that I should ask while I am there? Should I ask about Lyme or B12? Thanks so much for anyone that can help, being in limbo is horrible. O-ya these symptoms I have seem to come and go at random and I think that they seem to worsen with stress and heat.

  • Hi TerrylynnnHave you had a lumbar puncture done? If so, you could ask whether it showed any oligoclonal bands, which is indicative of MS in 80/90% of people. If you are suspected to have MS, then it sounds like you may hopefully have a benign form - mild relapsing and remitting. I hope it isn't though, and wish you well for your consultation.Elisa

  • Thankyou ElisaDoolittle I have not had that done yet. I went to the neuroligist last Thursday and she said that my lesions were very small and not in the typical spot that ms would be in so in her opinion she didnt think i needed to worry about it. She did a ton of test, walk a straight line, touch finger to nose, stand on tippy toes & alot of other strange things. I really had a hard time with the--put your feet together, arms out and close your eyes. I lasted about 3 seconds till I felt as if I was falling over. My neurologist has scheduled an mri of the cervical spine, she said that all my symptoms could be a compressed disk and of course they will check for any lesions too. I also had blood test drawn for b-12, lyme, lupus & a ton of other things. I suppose its just a waiting game now, will keep everyone posted on the outcome. I really appreciate everyones help:)
