For the past while, year or so I have been having random leg jerks, or twitches... It's not painful, but very annoying and quite embarrassing. I'll be sitting in class and randomly my leg (usually my left leg, sometimes the right, sometimes other body parts) will just ***k. It's nothing massive but I don't feel comfortable having them. Or just sitting hear at night on the computer it will happen. I'm a 16 year old guy, is this anything to worry about or is it natural, hopefully just stage?

  • I would like to know what causes this. I have experienced body jerking, mainly my legs and head when falling asleep for a while now. I am on an antidepressant that lists this as a side effect. However, the past couple of days have been weird. My whole body feels as if it is shaking from the inside, and my feet will twitch, my head will shake, and arms ***k too. Night seems to be worse. I wonder if this has anything to do with anxiety? I suffer from an anxiety disorder and I wonder if perhaps I am making myself worse by worrying about this? Any answers would be great. The more I think about it the worse it gets.

  • Have you talked to a dr. about having restless leg syndrome? Also you might want to have a sleep study done to see if you could have a sleep disorder, One thing to keep in mind is this, have you hit your head at anytime? No matter if it was severe or not, I was hit in the head by something, and it really can cause alot of different things, because the brain is so complex, you could have messed something up with a certain part of the brain.I suffer from narcolepsy, because of my head trauma. You might look up sleep disorders and see if you have any other symptoms.
