Knee area

I had a brief pain come in my leg when on my knees (bent) (right side of knee), then went away. Woke up the next morning and the bone on right side of right leg was sore to the touch with sore muscles and tingling down the leg (numbness). I can walk fine, but hurts to bend lower leg up backwards and not enough strength to pull it all the way up. No swelling has occurred that you can see, but throbs and becomes tingly when sitting. I can walk fine, but favor it with caution. Stairs are a challenge because of lifting foot higher.
Any suggestions? I thought pulled muscle, pulled tenden?????
