Hi all. I have been going through a rough time lately with injuries resulting from a car accident. The vehicle I was in got side-swiped and then front ended on the passenger side. I was the passenger. This happened 3 months ago and only now am I having some serious issues appear. I have almost constant numbness/tingling down my right arm and hand, I have loss of muscle control and can't write at times and up until a week ago, I had my shoulder locking whenever I lifted my right arm too far. I also have neck pain, jaw aches and ear aches randomly on my right side. I am seeing a massage therapist 2 times a week, and a physical therapist 3 times a week just to get back to where I was before the accident! I'm told that I have soft tissue (muscle) damage and that will take a bit to heal, but they're stumped on why I'm having numbness and tingling, etc in my arm and hand. My physical therapist is pretty sure that any EMG I may have done will be negative and most likely the same with and MRI. He also warned me that having an EMG might annoy my already ticked off nerves and set me up with a whole new set of problems. I guess I just need to know if anyone else has faced this problem and conquered it. Or at least was able to do something for it. Right now, I'm being told that I might just be in pain for the rest of my life and it's not exactly an encouraging thought. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
