I had a strange thing happen to me just before Christmas...I was driving to a work related training, and 1/2 hour after having an ENSURE HIGH PROTEIN SHAKE, my brain just shut down...it was not fatigue related, but I have also recently discovered I have a gluten issue, so I don't know if this is related or not....when this happened I was in an accident....the brain shutdown was only brief, because I opened my eyes again and I was still driving pretty straight...it did, however, happen 5-6 times before I ran off the road...this happened again 3 days later, after the same soy based shake, while I was working on my computer....I was tested for food allerges, and haven't heard back yet... could this have been caused by the gluten issue, or maybe something else...I am eating half gluten, or on one day then off one da... because the symptoms are tough to bear...get headaches within 20 minutes of eating gluten and my face has zits all over from eating the gluten items will be.going for Celiac testing in March...was the earliest I could get...then I will go 100% gluten free...as much as I can, at least...I do feel better when I skip a day, so I know this is part of the problem.....but what caused me to lose conciousness? I am almost afraid to drive..but I have to work....I am a biller for the clinic I work in, and I am the only one doing this, and everyone is counting on me for funding, such as payroll...LOL
