Good evening.

My wife is laying right next to me. We have been in the hospital for now 2 days. Gone through many test and issues, but have no real answer.

Previous issues:
Tourette Syndrome
3 herniated disc
Syncope (only when pregnant)
stage 1 hypertension/pre-hypertension(varries)

Patient information
26. Female. 5'5. 214 lbs.

Situation:
Was in class, about to do a presentation and collapses.

Symptoms:
slips into a state where her mind is wide awake but her body can not move. She fully understands what is said to her when she slips into these conditions. I asked her to do math and she is a little bit slow on this but when she comes to fully she can remember and do it.
When her pulse dips down to below 75 she passes out. Then when it kicks back up to 85+ she is pretty much back to normal. During the times shes not passed out, her pulse is at 100. This was happening 1 minute every 3 minutes last night, but has slowed throughout the day and now night.

Diagnosis so far:
Initially it was said to be Complex partial seizures
Syncope

She has gone through MRI, CT scan, EEG monitor, and a Neurological specialist

During the eeg monitor, they did the, pardon my lack of medical expertise on this but, strobe light portion of the test and she started going through convulsions similar to that in which I have seen in seizures in the past.

The neurological special came to her after the test and said this is not a neurological issue. He said it COULD be syncope.

We have no idea what is wrong with her. Her MRI came back and showed she had a sinus infection. Aside from that, she has been clean on the reports and test.

The doctors stated that it was Psychogenic Non-epileptic Seizures.
