I have posted this on the medical stories board, but thought I'd try here too. I have been having tingling and numbness in my hands for a while now and the doctors think it may well be carpal tunnel (I am waiting to see a specialist). I have also recently developed a hand tremor which only happens when I am holding something and seems to come and go and I have pain in my wrists and up my thumbs - the neurologist seems to think these are separate problems and is doing further investiagtions. Since I last saw him, however, I have become aware of several other problems and wonder if they could be related or if they rang any bells with anyone? They are:
pain in my upper back around the shoulders and neck which sends a shooting pain into my head
recurring headaches (though these are quite mild)
tingling in my hips and ankles after walking for 30 mins or more
random tingling in my feet
sometimes painful hips and knees (my hips have been quite 'clunky' for years)
Does anyone know what all these symptoms could be or do you think they are separate problems? I have had Crohn's Disease for 5 years and have been on various strong meds, but as far as we are aware they shouldn't cause these problems. I have also recently had to have a benign tumour removed from my submandibular salivary gland, but again we don't think this is involved.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated as after many years of problems with the Crohn's I would like to feel well! I am a 26 year old female by the way.
