Complex medical history, primary dx of severe systemic rheumatoid arthritis (developed following infection with lymes), endocrine addrenal suppression. Developed into complex immune disorder. Multiple and increasing neurological symptoms and odd MRIs following biological treatment for the RA (enbrel, humira and really serious stuff at retuximab and cimzia). Age 35, female.

Waiting for a consultant neurologist opinion having been through various registras GPs who are clueless but accept that things are neurologically going wrong. many mths of waiting (long live the NHS...!) inbetween.

The shins of my legs are numb. The skin is unable to pass the pin ****k test (no feeling) but the nerve conduction is normal. Other parts of the leg are numb plus other neuro symptoms inc lack of feeling for swallowing continue.

The shin patches have got larger and started to change colour, there is odema in there now and rigid muscles which show as white streaked tightly packed lines all over the muscles on MRI. the shape of the lower legs has changed

The original patch of numbness has started to GROW HAIR!

The rest of my leg has the occassional fine, downy hair as normal for me. Then there is this patch of long hairs where the original numbness came from.

how weird is that?! so profile _____LLLLLL______
I wanted to post here about it in case someone had knowledge of what it might possibly be, all the neuro people/ general drs here seem pretty stumped by it.
