Face flushing

I've had this happen before but it's a little different this time. First I am 45 and female. I've been upset at work most of the week and my face and ears have turned really red and it feels like there is a pulsing feeling in my face. Even after I get home and am calmed down it's still like that.
I have been off for two days now and yesterday it was ok today it feels like my face is pulsing a little today, but no flushing. Even weirder when this happens my feet are freezing, I have to rub and rub to warm them up.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? My doctor doesn't listen, he's like any other doctor around here, I call it "McDoctors office" instead of "McDonalds drive thru". They all have too many patients and not enough time.
