Constant dizziness

Hi all.

I am male 36 and have no major physical health issues. I do have an anxiety problem which from time to time rears its ugly head but for the most part it doesn't bother me.

I smoke, have tried to give up several times, and will no doubt try again. I drink occasionally and eat well - little meat/dairy/sugar/fat and lots of fruit/veges. I do not exercise as much as I could, I do not go to a gym, and I weigh 250pounds (114kg) and I'm 6'4".

Every single day, all day I am dizzy. This has been going on for several years now and my doctor says nothing is wrong, nothing can be done about the dizziness and that I just have to live with it.

Sometimes it gets so bad I can do nothing but lay down because i cannot focus on anything, i get a sort of tunnel vision and feel like everything is spinning, that happens once or twice every day.

Does anyone else have this? I'm at a loss. I used to be terrified I was having a heart attack or stroke, but I know that isn't it (otherwise I'm having the longest stroke in the history of medicine!)

I've tried relaxation, breathing retraining, exercise, hypnosis, even craniosacral therapy and crystal healing. I get very depressed about this, I do not enjoy life at all, I'm at my wits end, I can't continue like this.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

Thanks

But I am feeling the same exact way. I just posted about this but no one has answered yet... This dizziness and forgetfulness started 3 years ago. I remember the very morning it happened. It was back in my "drinking" stage. I woke up and thought I was just still drunk or something, but it just NEVER went away. I have touched alcohol since then cause im scared to. Its really affected my life and im looking to change it now... Its not been taken seriously by family because all anyone cares about is money, but now im 19 and planning on seeing my own ***n doctor sometime... Im just worried they wont really know whats wrong with me. Last time I asked one they said it had to do with Fatigue, depression, and anxiety and got me an apptment with a specialist but I didnt go because I was young and freaked out with no support. Its affected my life pretty drastically. Ill write a song, have it recorded, and posted, yet.. I wont even remember how to play it.. Forgetting things easily is really going to affect my life in the long run.. not to mention I hate these feelings of not being alert and normal... I really feel for you and hope for the best. Sorry I can't help... I am also in this situation.. Take care..

  • Hi, I've had the same problem for 2 years or so. Driving me crazy. All the tests - sent to a Psycologist... I'm trying trigger point therapy on neck muscles, scalenes and SCM. Tight muscles can cause all sorts of dizzines, eyes blurring, lack of oxygen to head... Talking lack of oxygen - I'm also trying TMS - see Monte Heufle - Running Pain website. It helped in summer when I could relax and do it. Now intense business and Marathon training! My neck is looser and dizziness better when I run!Just some ideas for you.I'll let you know if anything works!!
