Hello All,

My father 54 yrs old is currently in wheel chair..His problem started two years ago when he had foot drop which then progressed into difficulties in walking. My doctors told him that they don't have any cure to his disease.
Last year we have been refferred to a doctor who we discovered that my dad was invaded by CMV virus which caused mobility problems and damaged the nerves that give orders to the muscles hence, he couldn't walk. We have been under the treatment of the same doctor since last year and my dad feeling better now and his legs muscles became stronger. At least he can walk now with the assistance of us but not for more than 1 minute and by then he gets weaker. He was optimistic that he is getting better till we got annoyed recently when we found that one of his hands is also getting weaker. The doctor is still saying that he killed the Virus and my dad will walk eventually. However, we are still worried. Has any one of you heard about CMV virus. Do you think that CMV can cause all of this to my dad? Can anyone of you share his story if its similar.thanks
