today my sister had a seizure at a restaurant while eating dinner with our family. shes only 13. as far as we know, she has no medical problems and this has never happened to her before. my grandmother had at least one stroke before she died, but im almost positive that my sister had a grand mal seizure. she was able to talk to me immediately before she began to convulse, but does not recall our conversation. all of a sudden, her head lolled back and to the side and she tensed and began to convulse. i know she had a stomache ache before we went out and my mother noticed that her pupils were dilated. at the restaurant, she hit her head before my dad was able to catch her and hold her (so she didnt hurt herself). when she woke up, she thought that he was shaking her and when asked if she was ok, all she kept saying was "no" and she couldnt stop crying. on the way to the hospital, she told me that she felt like she had to hiccup ( but couldnt) then a huge weight was on her chest and she couldnt breathe, then the next thing she knew was she was being asked if she was ok.
some one please help. im worried for my baby sister and (of course) i fear the worst. any info at all, even your stories would helpful.thank you.
