Burning Ankles = Gout?

On occasion for no apparent reason my ankles become hot, like I have a heating pad on them, but I don't. No other pain or symptoms involved. It does not happen after I have done something or come inside from the cold. It can happen when I am just sitting watching TV or driving my car. I have been getting this off and on for about 2 months.

Thank you!
