Over the past two months I've been dealing with tingling of the left knee down, left elbow down, lower back & buttocks, right shoulder. I've also been getting sensations on the rear of my head. Recently, I've been dealing with aching knees, calf muscle and the heels of my feet (not weakness or drop foot just achiness). I've had increased vision floaters, headaches, anxiety (on alprazolam for that), and at times I feel confused.
I've had an MRI done of my head and cervical spine to rule out MS or a brain tumor and the results came back all normal although my neuro did point out that I have some mild disc compression in my neck (can't remember what discs) but mentioned that mostly everyone has a degree of disc disease (??)
I also noticed that after I let my guard down after being told that my MRI's came back normal that I was only dealing with some real mild tingling however then I started mensing and it seemed it all came back (and I thought it was I had went out and had a few too many drinks, my hangover was like nothing I've ever experienced before).
Well, after reading some of the posts on here and after my neuro told me that while what I am feeling is real and not something I'm making up, sometimes, in some cases there is no diagnoses given. She told me to revisit her in 6-8 weeks and thinks that the tingling will subside on it's own. I decided to call her up and ask her if she thinks a Lyme test would be appropriate considering I was exposed to ticks this past summer/fall, however I don't remember being bit or seeing any site of infection but most of what I feel are symptoms of Lyme Disease.
Sorry, I've rambled on in this post and my major question is.......since it is so hard to diagnose without seeing the "bullseye" from the bite, what if my blood work comes back normal? What is the next step? What do I ask for then?
I just want to feel normal again especially for my 4.5 month old son!
