Since i have been 14, I'm 24 now, I have been having uncontrollable neck twitches. It either looks like im really cold - head shaking - or it completely turns only to the right , its does worsen when im stressed and tense, but it happens randomly threw out the day when im alone any time anywhere even when im completely relaxed, which is why I dont belive it to be anxiety related. I don't not brought on by anything in general to my knowledge. I have no control over its been getting worse threw out the years, its very unconfertable, makes doing anything very diffucult. -- Other reoccuring problems (not sure if related or not) are migrane like headaches lasting up to a week, night sweats, and fatuigue. Also when i was around 6 or 7 i had a awful concussion to the back of my head. There was blood in my ears and nose the doctors did the normal procuders and sent me on my way not sure if that has anything to do with it or not... and i have been to a few doctors and ciropractors for it a while ago they put me on things like zoloft, paxil, few others i cant remember none of this helped what so ever. Just wondering if anyone has any input on this. Any kind of help would be more then appreachiated.

  • are the neck spasms painful? if they are it could be something definitely not anxiety related.what they are called i think is cranial dystonias, does your neck feel stiff too? also don't mean to alarm you, but sometimes they can be increased by medication. the medications you listed paxil and zoloft, both have a tendency to increase muscle rigidity or stiffness, and if they put you on an atypical antipsychotic. that would really increase the rigidity.

They are painful , this fluctuates somedays worse the others. It feels more painful when I try to just relax and not tense up and try to stop it. If that makes sense. Im not currently taking any meds havent for about 6 months to a year, but everything as you said felt worse and not better when I was on those meds. my neck and right shoulder are always tense. Ill do some more work in looking in to that. Thank you very much for your time and you response.
