I have had a big lump on the right side of my neck just next to my throat a little over a year. and it scares me a LOT! ive been to a doctor 3 times. 2 was a check up and one was when they did an ultrasound thingy.
they just saw the lump but did not know what it was so i was asked to go to a MRI scan but .. IM SCARED what it will be! if its cancer i will be SOO depressed (im 15 years old) :(

the lump is sometimes bigger and sometimes smaller, but it is ALWAYS THERE!

what could it be? PLEASE HELP! any ideas?

  • Thats good your seeing a doctor is it an Ear,Nose and Throat specialist? How "big" is the lump? I had a lump in my neck started at the age of 18. It grew larger as I got older. It didn't bother, me never hurt or anything, just was there. I had it checked out when I was 38yrs old. Doctor did a needle biopsy "ouch" was NOT cancer, Was what the doctor called a Thyroid Glossal Cyst. A growth from my thyroid. Had it removed, the scare afterwards was kinda cool Told people who asked what happened that I was in a fight and got cut Ha-Ha. Am now 46yrs old no scare at all. Dont worry too much. Might just be a big Adam's Apple. Hope this helps
