Hi, I recently started playing the guitar and have noticed my left wrist (Which is my fretting hand) started to hurt after rotating it back to normal position from extended guitar playing. I've tried using my right hand to see if the same thing occurs but doesn't. I'm afraid an injury long ago is causing this pain. When I was around 10 (I'm 21 now) or so, I fell off of a fire pole and broke my left wrist. After it was set back and the cast removed, I noticed that there is now a small (Bony) bump on the outside of my wrist, which im guessing might be my Pisiform bone.. The pictures below shows my left wrist (With the bony bump) and the right wrist which is normal for comparison.....
The Left Wrist
I'm trying to save money so I don't want to go to a doctor if i don't have to to diagnose this. Could anyone tell me why and how I have this bump, if its limiting my movement, and causing pain when i play the guitar and fully rotating it for extended periods of time? And if possible, if it can be fixed?
Thanks to anyone who can help me, its greatly appreciated.
