hi all here goes, i work as a painter. i was working from a ladder today and just out of the blue my upper back started hurting, within minutes my left lower back was hurting along with chest pains. feels like something pushing on it and when i take a deep breath it kinda feels like i gotta cough but i dont. the lower left of my back when i twist or bend a little feels like something moving like a muscle sliding over something and it hurts. just worried cause if i stay slumped over its not as bad but if i sit straight it gets worse. any ideas? im going to see a doctor just trying to see what it is first thnx for any help.

  • This sounds like a pulled muscle or a tendon or ligament was stretched to far. Given your symptom of chest pressure you should see your doc asap, can't be too careful with a common heart attack symptom. Either way you should see a doc to determine the source of pain. Without proper medical care an injury to a muscle could get worse or injured further and risk the possibility of permanent damage. Also could be something more serious like chemical pneumonia. Just a few thoughts, feel better and good luck.

  • Go to a good chiroprator and get a x ray and see what wrong. Get some rest and take a break. Gently little massage the pain with Tiger balm work for me. Try breathing with nose only you will feel better. No heavy lifting and bending down until you see a doctor.
