Nice forum and my first post.
Feb. 15 I had arthroscopic surgery for a torn medial miniscus. It was not to repair, just to trim out torn area and smooth out bone. Doc said no arthritis and all went well.
I took it easy and went through a couple weeks of PT .Since my injury in December I have always had what my doctor called "start up pain"
when I would get up from sitting in a chair or out of the car I would have to stand still 5 minutes before I could take a step, It would slowly get better so I could walk with a limp.2 weeks ago I did 3/4 mile on tread mill with little pain, now I can barley walk and the start up pain is no better.I also have off and on pain in the same calf muscle.I know there is some swelling but no pain or aches when sitting.Soon, I am 8 weeks post surgery.I dont know if what I feel is normal, good bad or what. Can any share their experience? Should I expect a 4 or 6 month recovery period? thanks
