Just wondering if there is anyone who has been diagnosed with a tethered cord as an adult and what sort of symptoms they experienced.I am 45 year old female and have been suffering from a lot of lower back pain over the last few years along pain some bladder and bowel dysfunction. It has now progressed to my upper body involving severe pain between the shoulder blades, sporadic pins & needles across shoulder, arm pain and some circulation problems in right hand when at the computer.I had numerous MRIs over the last 10 years after a back injury but the disorder was only discovered a month ago. I am looking at surgery in the next 2 months and was wondering what sort of results other people have experienced. This is the first time I have used a forum and Im not real sure how to do this stuff so bear with me

  • Hun, Don't worry. I have had the surgery before and I am due for another one on the 12th of this month. Its not biggie, at least it hasnt been for me. The worst part is the stitches in your back. Everytime you move, they will pull a bit lol. More of an annoyance!MaraMayray2286 on yahoo

  • I am experiencing similar problems as you. After a car accident in Aug, they finally did an MRI and found I had a tethered cord. I am in severe pain. My feet and hands are numb. I'm very worried about what the neurosurgeon is going to advise. I hope u are doing well now.
