I'm 18 years old, and in September I got severe pain in my right side. It was hurting so bad at first that I had a hard time breathing. I went to the doctor and he tested me for appendicitis but the test was negative. A few days later I did a lower abdominal CT scan and it again showed nothing. We decided to get a second opinion after the pain continued. The next doctor ran a bunch of bloodwork, did x-rays, more CT scans and an ultrasound which showed nothing. They said I was borderline anemic and in the ultrasound, it revealed that I had fluid around my liver. Yesterday, they did more bloodwork to test for mono, test my ANA levels, and test my iron. The past month or so, everytime I wake up, my fingers in my right hand are swollen up. The doctor thought maybe I was depressed or trying to get out of school. I have also been sleeping around 17-20 hours a day. They took me off of all pain medicine because they believed that it was giving me ulcers in my stomach. I am a senior and near the top ten at our school. I cry because I cannot go to school. Can someone please help. I am beginning to think my doctor thinks I am a liar beause nothing is showing up in the tests. This has gone on since September.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
