Hoping you can help. Last week I had a sharp burning pain in my left hip/groin area. The pain traveled to my right side, and toward the end of the night I felt a pop and my pelvis and part of my right leg went numb. Long story short, went to the ER and followed up with my dr, who did a CT. It showed a tear in my femoris rectus. No injury or trauma caused this. That was yesterday, and today as I was sitting I had a sudden sharp and tearing pain in my left thigh while I was at work. I got home (still in pain,) and discovered a bruise where the pain is. My doctor scheduled me for a consult with an ortho, as there was also an abnormality at the top of the right femur (no specifics given). My questions are, should I 1) go back to the ER, or 2) not be worried and wait to follow up with the ortho guy? Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Thanks in advance for your replies!:)
