I'm in constant pain...it's been six weeks now. My pain is in both arms and legs, burning deep pain, like in my bones.
It started in the middle of a mild cold, where I broke out in hives ( never had hives before). The pain set in, the head cold and hives went away after a couple days, but the pain in my arms and legs have never left.

my NP about 10 days into this ran a basic blood panel. All levels came back normal.(Sed rate, CBC, ANA, tsh, vit d) She sent me to a Internalist. I was placed on a heavy round of steroids to see if it would treat it ( thinking it was a inflamitory issue). The steroid did nothing. What it did do is mess up my blood pressure. So I was placed on a daily bp med as I wean off the steroid. I've been off the steroid for 5 days and my diastolic is still over 91 ( 25-30 points higher than my normal). he's not sure why my bp is still an issue. i wondered if it's because of the constant pain. or maybe this whole issue is vascular related??

I take rx pain meds at night to help me fall asleep through the pain, and yet it doesn't take the pain away.

I see a wonderful chiropractor on a regular basis, he's also at a loss at what is going on.
My Internalist added one more blood test, a Complement and it came back low, he said that means something is going on with my immune system, but he doesn't know what. My Internalist doesn't know what else to look for. He threw out the idea that it might be Fibro, but I don't think I fit that at all! I'm quite frustrated. I had to ask him to refer me to a rheumatologist. I hope this is the right direction!
i just want to figure this all out!!! Any thoughts???

  • I have the same symptoms in my ulna and tibia bones. I also have fatigue. However, my symptoms began back in 2004 and are getting worse and worse. I think it is myeloma, but I am not sure. I applied for medicaid due to missing too much work I lost my job and asked for them to check for disability....that is all I know to do at this point. In my blood work...always "normal" there is one thing I noticed, my white blood cell count is either high or low, never on the spot. It started in my shoulders, moved to my ulna in my arms (not radia) and now in my shin bones in both legs. Old people run circles around me...I can't do much...it hurts all the time. I hope you find what is going on with you and if so...let me know! Thanks!
