Sudden leg weakness

I am a healthy, fairly active 50 year old male, no illness no medications. I had a physical 3 months ago with no problems. Suddenly over the past 4 days I have experienced significant weakness in both legs. It is most evident when I try to run or jog and when I climb stairs. It is the kind of weakness I would expect to feel for a short period if I had done some serious exercise involving my legs. Any thoughts are appreciated.

  • Have same problem along with trembling. My EMG was normal. Dr. doesn't think I have Parkinson's disease but isn't fully sure. Hope not! Also, have shoulder and hip pain. Try going to www.wrongdiagnosis.com and punch in all of your symptoms. Great site. Narrows down the diseases as you add symptoms to ask your Dr. about.

  • I started that way at approx. 48 years old. Found through muscle biopsy that I have a rare disease called Tubular Aggregate Myopathy.
