Ok this is a little weird but I was wondering if anyone else has a very "flexible" ribcage or if anyone knows if that is normal or not. I have asked a few healthcare providers about it and they just sort of give me the "huh, that's weird" response and don't seem too concerned but I didn't realize until about 5 years ago when I was wresling around with my ex husband that everyone's ribs aren't squishy like mine. Since then I've found NOBODY ELSE with such a soft ribcage. I am only 32 years old & they've always been squishy, so I don't think it's osteoporosis or anything.

Also, I have these two small lumps under my skin above my clavicle. When I was a baby the docs told my mom after doing an x ray that it must be "misplaced cartillage". Does cartillage often get misplaced? I was wondering if I should try to get the doctor to investigate with all the new advances in radiography, and I wonder if it is related to my squishy ribs and I have some sort of weird funky cartillage disorder that will haunt me later in life????
Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Mine too... I've never really worried about it till the last year or so (I'm turning 19) so I decided to "google" it, I've never been to the doctor about it specifically, but I have had chest x-rays for my lungs and they never mentioned anything, I think i'll ask about it next time I see my doctor, So i'll post back after with whatever they say, I'd be interested in knowing what build other people are experiencing this are, I'm a pretty small guy, Just below average height and skinny... most people I've shown it too just assume it's because I'm skinny.. o.O
