Shoulders ache, can't raise arms up over head. Aches also in hips and now knees are starting to ache. Get fatigued easily. My husband was a very strong active man and in the past 2 months his condition is getting worse. Blood tests didn't show lymes disease. 2 rounds of prednisone improved condition, but when off condition went back to bad. Dr won't give more prednisone. Seeing a Rheumetoid specialist the end of August, but need some relief. Any suggestions from anyone? We are so desperate. Thank you for your time.

  • Has he had his CK level drawn? Does he have a rash? You make want to look at a myositis(very rare autoimmune disorder). I was a very active person and became suddenly fatigued and weak. I had my ck drawn and it was over 900 almost all my other labs seemed normal. I was finally diagnosed almost 2 years later with polymyositis.
