For the past month and a half everytime i take a deep breath or yawn i get a sharp pain in my right shoulder blade and at the same time it shoots a sharp pain into my head. The right side of my chest is also sore from this. At first i thought that i was just sore and it would go away, but it's been too long and it keeps getting worse. I've searced all over the internet and i can't seem to find anything about what might be wrong. Does anyone know anything about this?

If you haven't seen your Doctor, I would do so, and ask for an x-ray at the very least. He/she may even recommend a MRI since you do have pain traveling to your head.Your symptoms - pain with breathing - could mean a few things:Strain of your inspiratory muscles (not likely)Pectoral StrainRib pathology (injury to a Sternoclavicular joint or Costovertebral joint)Did this pain come on all of a sudden or was there an injury???Chris

  • It just came all of a sudden. I've also been feeling dizzy. Not really dizzy, just a little, but it's there if that makes any sense. Also, over the past few days i haven't had any pain in my head. But thanks, i think i will go see a doctor

This sets off a red flag in my mind. ~ChrisFloridaPT

  • I Went to the doctor today and it turns out that i just have a respiratory infection which is more than likely pleuricy which caused my shoulder and chest pain. The dizziness is from asthma which i didn't know i had until now. But thanks for you help :)
