This is my first post here. I am a bit of a hypochondriac, so it will help me to get some clarification on the symptoms I am feeling. :)
When I was a young teenager, I had sinus infection after sinus infection - I had to get a CT scan to find out what was going on. Eventually I responded to medication, and I haven't had as many problems over the past several years.
I'm 24 now, and I've been having ear pressure and fullness off and on for about 7 months. A month ago I got a bad cold, and since then I haven't had noticeable nasal congestion, but I've had intense ear pressure and a nasal drip causing a sore throat and slight nausea.
Last week I went to the doctor and she confirmed I probably had a sinus infection caused or complicated by allergies. I'm taking Amoxicillin, but I'm still having pretty significant symptoms.
What's confusing to me is the neck pain. I had a concussion earlier this year as well (long story), and dealt with a lot of neck pain from that, but it was pretty much resolved. However, this past weekend I suddenly got a very sore throat and moderate to severe neck pain and stiffness.
The neck pain is lingering; it gets severe in waves and makes it difficult for me to function.
My head feels spacy and foggy; perhaps this is complicated by anxiety, but when I'm in a crowd I feel overwhelmed and panicky - I never used to feel this way.
I also have a little blurring or cloudiness in one eye, but I think it's just fatigue or congestion.
I'm been so exhausted lately, even when I get a fairly good night's sleep. I exercise regularly and am in good physical shape, so it's not related to being overweight.
Does anyone have any thoughts for me? I'm a stay-at-home mom of a 10-month-old, so I'm able to rest during the day while he sleeps. I can't imagine working a full-time job while feeling this way.
