I am a 58 yr old male who has been experiencing pain in my left wrist about a year ago then beginning in my right wrist about 2 months ago along with pain in both shoulders about that time as well. Physical therapy after a diagnosis of tendonitis did not help. The pain seems to be joint related, although x rays showed no sign of arthritis. As I had rotator cuff surgery 2 1/2 years ago, I saw my orthopedic surgeon last week and was referred back to physical therapy -now for the shoulder pain. My GP did a series of blood tests which came back within normal ranges with the exception of a reumatoid arthritis indicator where the normal was not to exceed 14 mine was 20- the sed rate test showed normal results indicating no inflamation within the body going on according to the doctor. Additional RA specific tests are going to be done but in the meantime 200 mg of celebrex every 2 days is the only way I can function pain free. I am also on 40 mg of protonix a proton pump inhibitor which as a side effect can include arthralgia Any ideas as to what this might be related to?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
