This may have been a topic, but I am new so I figured I would start a new thread.
I was diagnoised with a tear in my posterior rotator cuff and a ganglion cyst inside the joint. I have had shoulder problems since 2000 when I was a high school freshman playing football, wrestling, baseball and track. I was diagnoised almost a year ago and recently went back to the gym to lose weight for surgery (I am over 300 and need to safely get down below 300 for surgery).
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who is trying to continue weight training with a torn rotator cuff. I feel my tolerance for pain is slightly higher than the average person, but it is very challenging. If there is someone out there experiencing the same issues please let me know how you fight the pain and what exercises still building muscle but reduce the pain in the shoulder. Thank you!
