I have been to a orthropedic doctor. I have seen the x-rays and the bone is off set and hurts like ***l! Been 8 weeks in a cast. The cast was extremely tight and rubbing against my arm causing it to break out get infected and bleed. When I called that ortho to tell him how much pain I was still in after 2 weeks, and how the cast was extremely tight. I wanted him to return my call. I called faithfully 3 times a week until I seen him. HE NEVER ONCE RETURNED MY CALLS!
So I pop into his office after 8 weeks, takes the cast off and gets another x-ray. I told him BEFORE THE IDIOT put the cast on that the one hospital put me in a cheesy splint and the bone kept popping. So I went to another hospital the next day and they told me the bone had moved and needed to be set!!! Ok in telling this orthro (quack) this he said no the first x-rays are enough and it will heal by putting a cast on it. Ok 8 weeks later the new x-rays shows that the bone is broke in 2. Resting part of it in the middle the rest sticking out causing a huge BUMP on my arm not to mention the horrible pain I am still having!!!
When I questioned about it and if he was going to set it he states "You will have to learn to live with it!" What pay this quack $1500 to hear that??? I do not think so. So I demanded he do something because I am a cosmetologist and I depend on the hand I write with to do my profession with and to hear "I have to live with it the rest of my life stuff?" Then he looks at his watch and says "Well I do not have time to do anything with it. Just wear this brace and I will see you in a month!"
Well with that, I decided to seek a second opinion. What should I do? I know that it needs to be set and more needs to be done. Is this normal? Please help me with what I should do!
