hey im 16 and a wrestler had a hernia before, but was 4 and dont remember to much about it. {background information}

i got my physical a few months back and the doctor said i had the beginning signs of hernia and just to come back when it started hurting. well every now and again during wrestling practice or physical activity my leg to pelvis joint feels like it's starting lock up, but it doesnt and it just sorda slows my reflexes and movements with slight pain. now i dont think this is a hernia because usually with a hernia you have more symptoms like a bump or strangulation, but i dont think i have any these. and i was just wondering if you guys could tell me if this is a hernia or not so i can go to the doctor and get what needs to be done before wrestling season gets into full swing.

{p.s. not a life or death situation but help would be appreciaited}
thanks for any comments

  • Hi - Does it happen only on one leg? I have problems with my hip sockets. They are shallow so they do not support the head of the femur as well. Periodically, it almost feels as though my leg(s) are dislocating. I had xrays which diagnosed this. Turns out - I was born with it. Exercise actually helps to keep it under control because strengthening the leg helps to hold everything in place. I also experience lower back pain and some generalized pain in my legs if I have been on my feet all day. This may not have anything to do with your problem, but an xray of the problem area could help get some answers. Good luck!
