Hey everyone, new to the forum. Basically I'm looking for some input BEFORE i go to the doctor, simply because I don't have health insurance. Hoewver, I'm probably going to end up going regardless, unless what I describe doesn't sound serious.
Basically, I'm into weight lifting and I also do physical labor on our horse farm doing hay. The other day I was throwing bails of hay up onto the ****d, which is probably like 20 feet in the air so I was haivng to throw each bail really far, and I felt like I pulled a muscle in the area where the thigh meets the pelvic bone, basically the joint of the upper leg.
Since then, I have a lump in that area that feels like a swollen lymph node, it's in the exact same place as where the lymph nodes in your groin are. However, I haven't experienced any pain really, mild discomfort in that overall area, but I understand that with hernias that sometimes doesn't matter.
So like I said, I'm probably still going to go to the doctor. I really just would hate to have to take a 6 week break from working out after having a hernia repair.
Thanks for any input.
