For the past 3 days Ive been having really strange symptoms and Im starting to lose my mind. Basically at random I get these weird sensations at isolated parts of my body. Basically it could be anywhere from my forehead to my thighs. They last for a few seconds at most.

1) I feel them when Im actually thinking about them. If Im preoccupied then I dont feel them. Thats actually a major point. If Im walking or doing something that keeps my mind off it, then I dont feel it.

2) They arent that severe. When your foot falls asleep and then you start feeling those pins and needles, it is about 1000x less than that.

3) It is extremely subtle. Feel very very light, almost like a dull itch.

4) They can occur anywhere and last for a few seconds.

5) They feel like an itch and if I scratch then they go away.

Could it be a brain tumor? Spinal cord tumor? please help...

  • some times a pinched nerve can cause that sensation. Have you hurt your back or neck lately? Also smoker tend to get that (lack of oxegen) do you smoke? Even a fall or some thing could have gotten a pinch nerve going on.Good luck I really hope you feel better soon. Try not to scare your self, so far it is mild, but good for you paying such close attention to your body! If it doesn't stop, see a doctor and do all the research you can yourself!!

  • Have you seen neuro? Chiro? Holisitic PT? Usually that pins and needles comes long after injury/trauma. Chiro seems to be addressing my problems far better than all of the others.

  • I think that you have restless leg syndrome. I also have it and the name does not necessarily mean that it is localized just to the legs. I have the small fluttering all over my entire body. For many years, I was convinced that my was heart beating abnormaly, but it was really just massive fluttering of nerve endings in the chest. Hope this helps.
